California Miramar Fighting Falcons defeated University of Anchorage division-2 power! It was the Falcons’ best game all year! When asked about the keys to the game, Coach Shade said, “We played defense and rebounded the whole game, and competed every minute of the game!” CMU had a balanced attack, scoring with Jalen Thornton, Christian Mora, Ryan Herrera, Stephen Adams, And Damon Bentley Jr. We hit three for six from the three-point line. Coach Shade also said,”It was the biggest win in the schools history, without a doubt!! That’s a great team over there. They are well coached and loaded with some veteran leadership! I’m proud of my team on how they played and how they handled the pressure down the stretch when Anchorage cut the lead down to one and 2 few different times in the last six minutes of the game.” CMU looked like they were going to pull away with the game but Anchorage battled back. The Fighting Falcons prevailed by executing their plays and playing defense down the stretch. That’s how they were led to victory. Final score was CMU-60/ UAA- 58
