Fighting Falcons Sweep Vegas Showcase!

This past weekend CMU Baseball swept there 3 game series with Idaho State, winning the first two games in convincing fashion and the third game a seesaw battle back-and-forth. Ruben Mendia  and Diego Santiago stood out at Friday night’s victory (8-1). Ruben pitched a complete game with eight strikeouts, Diego hit a home-run and two singles to lead the Fighting Falcons to victory. During Saturday’s first game, Richard Melagosa pitched a complete game and the CMU offense was firing all cylinders with contributions from everybody in the lineup, winning 7-0! Saturday;s second game was a back-and-forth battle with Diego hitting a home-run, Ruben with a big hit, and good base-running by the whole team. Ruben came in to the game in the last inning and closed out the game pitching, leading to a 8-6 victory for CMU!
