Join CMU’s Soccer Team!

The Men’s Soccer Team is led by Head Coach James Cockshott.

Coach James Cockshott enters his first season at California Miramar University as Head Coach. Head Coach James Cockshott arrives in La Puente, following a stint as the assistant coach at NCAA DII Salem University, West Virginia, where he helped guide the program to a winning record and an appearance in the ECAC Final.

Beginning his soccer career at a young age, Head Coach James Cockshott has experience at various levels in England before coming to study and play in the United States at Salem University. While he was achieving success on the field, James also earned a Bachelor’s Degree in International Business Management and a Master’s Degree in Sports and Recreation Management. Head Coach James Cockshott has experience in Puerto Rico with Criollos de Caguas FC.

Assistant Coach Marco Marquez has several accolades from his early years of playing. He attended Bishop Mora Salesian High School where he helped them win a CIF and State championship. After high school, Coach Marco played college soccer at East Los Angeles College and then transferred to Holy Names University in Oakland to play NCAA Division II.
